Get Out the Vote Campaign

A strong Get Out the Vote (GOTV) effort is essential to ensuring that Republican voters are fully represented in South Carolina’s primary elections. In a typical non-presidential primary, Republican turnout has historically been less than 15%, leaving a significant portion of the electorate unengaged. Yet in nearly all primary races across the state, the winner of the Republican primary ultimately goes on to hold elected office. That makes participation in the primary not just important —but decisive.

Because South Carolina’s primary system allows voters from outside the party to participate, it is especially critical that Republican voters turn out in strong numbers to ensure that nominees reflect the will of Republican constituents. Low turnout increases the risk that outcomes may not accurately represent the party’s base.

The purpose of this Get Out the Vote strategy is to energize and mobilize Republican voters ahead of the upcoming primary. By leveraging available tools, resources, and grassroots networks, we can increase awareness, engagement, and ultimately turnout. From neighborhood-level outreach to coordinated digital efforts, every action plays a role in strengthening participation and securing results that reflect the voice of the Republican electorate.
